Fight Golola Moses vs Titus Tugume postponed | Kickboxing News
Kickboxing fans will wait longer for the highly-anticipated fight between Golola Moses and Titus Tugume.
The fight, which was scheduled for July 14 at Kyadondo grounds, has been called off due to misunderstandings between the two fighters and promoter Benson Kasenene.
“The connection between the promoter and us the fighters isn’t good,” Tugume told Daily Monitor.
August 31 has been tentatively set as the new date for the fight but there are doubts Kasenene will be involved. “I have a contract with both fighters and l hear they want to terminate it. But if they do so, they have to refund my money,” Kasenene said.
But Golola, the man credited for raising the profile of the sport in Uganda, remains in buoyant mood and hopes the bout will take place.
Golola has never taken on a Ugandan kickboxer since turning professional. “We are ready to take on Tugume any time. I am sure he stands no chance against Golola,” Susane Kiwanuka, Golola’s manager, said.
Golola has lost two of his last five fights. Tugume is unbeaten in four.
